Grandma Guard's Rose

My boyfriend's lovely grandmother past away this past week after a 4 year long battle with stage four lung cancer. She was like a mother to all of the grandchildren, as well as a grandma, and was a huge staple of the family. I feel blessed to have known her for the time that I did, and honored that I was accepted in her home and family with open arms.

Do to a very demanding work schedule, I was only able to make her viewing, and not her actual funeral. My boyfriend was naturally given one of the roses from her casket. When we met up again at home, he asked that I photograph it for him and his family; a task I was more than happy to take on.
